INFORMAL PLANNING ENQUIRIES
If you wish to make an informal planning enquiry, for example to see if a proposed development is likely to need planning permission, Click here to download an enquiry form for a proposed development. Our policy is that all such enquiriies are submitted on this form and that we issue a written response, and avoid giving non documented verbal advice.
INTRODUCTION OF 1 APP PLANNING APPLICATION FORMS
We introduced the use of 1 APP Planning Application Forms from March 3rd 2008 and they are available for download from this webpage. Please see the Planning Home page for more details about 1 APP forms. Please download and print off the correct number of forms (four) that you require. Note that the forms are in pdf format and when you print them off, set the page scaling to "Fit to Printable Area". Complete and return them to:
Sedgefield Borough Council, Council Offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor, DL16 6JQ.
Please remember that as well as the application form, you will also need to provide other items depending on the type of planning application sought. These items are specified in the National and Local List of Requirements (available to view or download in the related links column of this web page.
For Householder and most other types of application, you will need to provide 1:1250 scale site location plans. We are no longer licensed to supply these - click here for a list of OS site plan suppliers.
For Works to Trees Subject to TPO &/or Notification of Proposed Works to Trees In Conservation Areas, a tree survey form is also available to download at the bottom of this webpage.
