How quickly will my claim be processed?

We aim to pay your claim as quickly as possible. We can pay claims quicker if you send in all the information we need with your claim form.

We will write to you telling you how we worked out your Housing and Council Tax Benefit. Please check the information in the letters very carefully. If there is anything you think is wrong, you need to tell us straightaway.

Your benefit letter tells you if you might be able to get income support or job seekers allowance (income based). Please apply at your local DWP office.
