Any resident of the Borough, over the age of 18 can apply for a Council garage.
You can get an application form from any local housing office or you can print a form off here.
When we have received your form, we will add it to our register and send you a letter telling you if you have been accepted onto our waiting list or not. If you have been accepted you will be given a waiting list position and a reference number, which you should tell us when you ring about your application. Our waiting list is kept in date order and our garages are given out on a first come, first served basis.
When you are at the top of the waiting list for a garage in the area you have asked for, we will contact you to arrange
for you to collect the keys and sign your acceptance form. When you accept the keys you will be given a copy of the ‘Regulations
and Conditions of Tenancy’ relating to Council garage tenancies. You will be expected to abide by the rules during the time
you rent a Council garage from us.
