Swimming Pools
There are two pools within Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre.The main pool is a deck level 25 metre pool which is six lanes across. This is the main training pool within the Borough and is also home to Sedgefield 75 Amateur Swimming Club. A wide range of activities is provided within the main pool, including Sub Aqua, as the pool is 3 metres deep at the deepest point. The small pool is 6 metres wide and 10 metres in length with a maximum depth of 0.9 metres. Both pools have relatively easy access for disabled swimmers and a chair hoist is available for use in the main pool. Family changing facilities are also available.

This is a free - form Leisure Pool with a large shallow water area and a maximum depth of 1.8 metres. A water slide and wave machine are also available, but these only operate during evening, weekend and school holiday sessions. The pool is approximately 18 metres wide and 30 metres long. Access is available for disabled swimmers including changing facilities. Changing facilities to help parents with young children are also available.

Fishburn Pool, is a community pool which is currently used 3 days per week for school swimming lessons. Sedgefield Borough provide a range of activities ,which include Aqua aerobics and Junior Swimming lessons . The pool is 17 metres long and 7 metres wide and is around 0.9 - 1.2 metres in depth. Car parking facilities are available,out of school hours.
